Purpose
This whistleblower Policy encourages and enables Rotary Club of Roseville members or agents
to report suspected violations of laws, regulations, or organizational policies without fear of
retaliation. It aims to protect those who disclose such information and ensure the integrity of our
organization.
Scope
This policy applies to all members, board members, trustees, and agents of the Rotary Club of
Roseville Foundation and the Rotary Club of Roseville.
Policy Statement
Rotary Club of Roseville Foundation Board of Trustees is committed to maintaining the highest
standards of ethics and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. We encourage anyone
with knowledge of illegal or unethical conduct to come forward and report their concerns.
Reporting Procedures
- How to Report
○ Concerns can be reported verbally or in writing to the following designated
individuals:
■ The President or Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Roseville
■ The President or Board of Trustees of the Rotary Club of Roseville Foundation
○ Reports may also be submitted anonymously if desired.
- What to Report
○ Members should report any of the following:
■ Fraud or financial misconduct
■ Violations of laws or regulations
■ Misappropriation of organizational resources
■ Harassment or discrimination
■ Any other unethical or illegal behavior
Investigation Process
- Acknowledgment of Receipt
○ The Rotary Club of Roseville Foundation Board of Trustees will acknowledge
receipt of a report within seven (7) business days of receiving it. - Confidentiality
○ All reports will be treated confidentially to the greatest extent possible, and
information will only be shared with those who need to know about the
investigation. - Investigation
○ The Rotary Club of Roseville Foundation Board of Trustees will conduct a
thorough and impartial investigation. The investigator(s) will prepare a report
summarizing the findings. - Outcome
○ Appropriate corrective action will be taken if a violation is confirmed.
Protection Against Retaliation
Rotary Club of Roseville Foundation Board of Trustees prohibits retaliation against any
individual who, in good faith, reports a concern or participates in an investigation. Retaliation is
a serious violation of this policy and should be reported immediately.
False Reports
Making a false report or allegation with malicious intent is prohibited and may result in
membership termination.
Policy Review
This policy will be reviewed and updated as necessary to ensure compliance with applicable
laws and organizational standards.
Approval
This Whistleblower Policy was approved by the Rotary Club of Roseville Foundation Board of
Trustees on January 16, 2025.
