Feed My Starving Children Rotary MobilePack

On behalf of the South Placer Rotary, we would like to invite your club to join us for our third annual Feed My Starving Children Rotary MobilePack on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at William Jessup University in Rocklin. Each year, we’ve had about 200 Rotarians, prospective Rotarians, Interact Club members and guests join us to help pack meals for malnourished children around the world. Kids as young as 5 can participate along with Rotarians who want to bring their families or extended families.

To get a feel for the event, here’s a link to a video we put together after the first year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCpgpu7dj0o&t=14s

We are expecting some of our local TV stations to come out and highlight the Rotary’s role in this effort.  Our goal is to pack 100,000 meals during the session and we’d love to have as many volunteers as possible. If your club would like to be part of this pack, please do the following:

 Email me at bill@halldinpr.com

  • Please give us a rough estimate of the number of volunteers from your club (that can come later)

It’s that simple – we’ll follow up as the date gets closer. The event is definitely FUN, with music, competition among packers and more. Attached is a flyer promoting the event.

Golf Scramble & Fellowship at Woodcreek Golf

Non-Club Members: You are welcome as well and we would love to meet you! Please contact Melissa Sisneros (see below for contact info) if you’d like to join us.

Woodcreek Golf Course, Thursday, October 10th, 3:00 p.m. (Tee Time is 3:30 p.m. so please arrive early so that we can get to our holes on time)

$20 for 9 holes of Golf with a Cart.
